Solar Energy Science Projects
Here are two great Solar Energy Science Projects that you should try.
The first one is much simpler, and would be great to do as a Middle School Science Fair Project or with a group of Middle Schoolers.
The second involves building and installing your own solar panel (or windmill). It would be a great project for an industrious High Schooler, or for a Project Based Learning Activity with High School, or even College, students.

Hot Water and Warm Homes
from Sunlight:
This great Teachers Guide is available at Amazon.com.
The guide focuses on designing well controlled experiments. The first experiment involves building a model house, and determining the best way to heat it with the sun. The second investigates how best to heat hot water. |

Home Made Energy:
Journeyman Electrician Bill Ford designed this program for the home hobbyist who wants to save money by building his or her own solar power panels and/or windmill. It would be perfect for a science fair or as a group project.
After watching the videos and reading through the manual, you should be able to build and install a solar panel or windmill in just one weekend.
I strongly urge you to check this out.
It has a 60-day money-back guarantee.
