Do you know any good Middle School Science Projects?

Having taught science for 20 years, I have tried out hundreds (if not thousands) of middle school science projects in a real live classroom environment.

I am very happy to share my experience with you.

Click on the links below to learn more.

5th Grade Science Projects: These activities integrate different science disciplines. "Oobleck" focuses on describing properties of matter. "Forensics" allows students to do a variety of scientific tests, and the last project encourages imagination while developing research skills.

6th Grade Science Projects: 6th Graders often study astronomy and geology. This page discusses two great projects. The first is on the Moons of Jupiter, and the second is on Forensic Geology.

7th Grade Science Projects: 7th grade science often involves life science. Fingerprints are a great 7th grade science project. You can also write childrens' books about animals. We also check out two dissections.
